Design Services

Space Planning

We begin with a survey of the project. Measurements are taken of the space, as well as existing items being reused to ensure all new items are ordered in the correct size and scale. Appropriate drawings are generated based on the size and extent of the project.

Selection

Many elements come together to create a well thought out interior. We offer options regarding all design details including but not limited to: Furniture, Carpets, Lighting, Window Treatments, Finishes, Materials, Plumbing, Millwork, Appliances, Fabrics, Hardware, Art, Housewares and Decorative accessories.

Budgeting

Every project has a budget that determines your comfort level with the scope and level of the project. Budgeting tools can be implemented to outline and help guide you through the process.

Procurement

Once selections are made, the purchasing process begins. We ensure that every detail is considered, documented and accounted for, so you do not have to. We interface with vendors, installers and artisans at all phases of the project. This process begins with an order and includes: status checks, tracking, coordination with necessary receivers, all the way through until installation is complete.

Coordination

Every project requires the coordination of essential design team members: Contractors, Installers, Fabricators, Showrooms, Architects, Art Consultants, Sales Reps and other Design Professionals. Over the course of a 25 year career many relationships have been cultivated in these various fields. It is the strength and depth of these cultivated relationships that creates a superior project.

CUSTOMIZATION

Sometimes the perfect piece does not exist in the marketplace and the development of custom pieces is necessary. This is the case for millwork and furniture that needs to fit specific requirements. And sometimes, you might not want a piece that everyone else has. The possibilities are endless.

Refurbishment

Almost everyone owns existing pieces that hold a special significance. Depending on the age of the piece, it can often be better quality than what is available today. These pieces can usually be worked into the new design and may need a bit of reimagining. The most common is re-upholstery of furniture in a dated, worn-out, or faded fabric. Reinvention can also happen to wooden furniture through refinishing or painting a different color. The effect can be transformative.

Accessorizing

Once new materials are installed and new furniture is delivered, finishing touches are often needed to make your house look like a home. Your existing accessories can be rearranged in new and coordinated groupings. New accessories can be selected to reflect your new and updated surroundings.

Art Selection &Framing

As mentioned with your accessories, your art may need some freshening up as well. A new frame or matte can give your art a whole new life. Your art may not be placed in the ideal spot to give it the attention it deserves. New pieces can be sourced through galleries and experienced art consultants. We can oversee the hanging and placement, so you don’t have to stress over it.
