STORY

Nina Pritzker-Cohen approaches all projects with a trained, passionate eye for design and a quiet, confident style that puts you at ease. She recognizes that change can be stressful, and that pressure to make costly or lasting decisions can be very overwhelming. Her job is to make your life easier and to gently guide you in the right direction.

Her STORY:

“Nothing is interesting unless it is personal.”

- BILLY BALDWIN

Nina Pritzker-Cohen holds a B.A. in French and English Literature from Temple University, as well as an M.S. in Interior Design from Drexel University. In both academic experiences, Nina had the opportunity to freely explore her intellectual side, sharpen valuable critical thinking skills, and fully immerse herself in story-telling that would become the thread she carries through her work. This strong foundation, in combination with her innate style, helped her become a thoughtful designer, creative thinker, and professional leader. In between her two degrees, Nina gained experience in customer service and retail management which has informed her professional approach throughout her career. After graduate school, she began working at the renowned Philadelphia design firm, Marguerite Rodgers Interior Design, where she enjoyed a 25-year career. Her residential work has transformed charming homes, grand estates, high-rise apartments, and intimate rooms. She has also worked extensively on commercial projects, enlivening academic residences at Ivy League Universities, boutique-style restaurants, and corporate headquarters. Her passion for detail is woven throughout all aspects of a project to ensure sophisticated and thoughtfully curated results. Nina is open to many types of creative challenges big and small.

Philosophy:

“There is no art of any kind without a Philosophy”

- FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT

As a compassionate listener, Nina is fully present with you. She asks thoughtful, authentic questions to gain an understanding of not only how you live or work in your space, but your aspirations for the desired outcome. Her strength is translating those into a vision that is functional and visually pleasing. She is comfortable working in a variety of styles and loves to blend them, creating a collage of warmth and depth for modern interiors and streamlining for traditional ones. She is adept at reinventing clients’ sentimental treasures and skillfully fills in the gaps of existing spaces with new pieces, to pull it all together for a polished and coordinated look. She enjoys working with a client’s cherished existing pieces and believes they add personal history within refreshed spaces. Each piece speaks to each other, telling a story.

Process:

“DEsign is the intermediary between information and understanding.”

- Hans Hoffman

Every project begins with a phone call. The initial call typically leads to an in-person meeting to discuss your objectives, and if possible to see the space. Following the meeting, you will receive a proposal outlining the details and process tailored to fit your needs. Nina prides herself on close working relationships with architects, contractors, artisans, consultants, showrooms and vendors that are highly skilled and knowledgeable to help craft the end result. Her experienced guidance will help you navigate the endless world of design possibilities and lead you towards your ultimate goal. She looks forward to hearing your story.
